GoldieBlox

GoldieBlox is a disruptive children’s media company challenging gender stereotypes with the world’s first girl engineer character. Through the integration of storytelling and S.T.E.M principles, they continue to build a global character franchise with videos, animation, books, apps, curriculum, and merchandise.

During my time there as a design consultant, I assisted with improvement of brand assets, packaging refreshes, marketing collateral, and email campaigns. We also developed creative tools that provided internal teams with helpful design assets that could be quickly reworked for a myriad of presentation scenarios such as meetings, sales, and business development. I helped enhance and evolve the GoldieBlox creative library, working on everything from editable fundraising press kits to consumer-facing collateral pieces.

“Mike has all of the attributes that make a great employee and leader: He's eager and motivated to produce quality work, meet deadlines, and drive conversation. Mike isn't afraid to ask "why?" and make recommendations to improve processes. One of Mike's biggest impacts at Yesler was the intent behind his actions — he was extremely thoughtful in his approach to the company, his client, his coworkers, and his designs.”
